Beijing to set up model blocks

The section between Fuxing Gate and Fucheng Gate on the No. 2 ring road
in western Beijing surrounded with skyscrapers was packed with vehicles
on Feb. 21. Starting from the end of this month, Beijing will launch the
project of constructing model blocks, and 87 main streets of the city
will have built model blocks before the Olympics opens. The block between
Fuxing Gate and Xizhi Gate on the No. 2 ring road in western Beijing will
become an experimental unit and start construction first.
