The "fall tiger" showed its power

A boy was flying kites by the Xiliu Lake in the breeze on the evening of
Aug.11, 2005. Due to the power of "fall tiger" (the temperature remains
high for a short period after the solar term "autumn begins" in Chinese
lunar calendar), the mercury rose to 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees
Fahrenheit) on Aug. 10. Some citizens escaped from the cities affected by
"heat island effect" and headed for suburb and waterside to stay away
from the heat.
