www.chinanews.cn 2005-08-19 16:01:35
Someone offered 120,000 yuan to purchase a rare stone from the Three
Gorges called "Jade Kwan-yin" from Mr. Luo, a resident in Taohualing,
Yichang, Hubei, but Luo refused on Aug. 18. This rare stone is 55cm tall,
50cm wide and 25cm thick, with a snow-white stone peak rose in the middle
of the stone as a pure and noble "Jade Kwan-yin." Luo found this rare
stone on the stone banks near the Qingjiang Geheyan Power Station in the
fall of 2001.
