"Red tourism" fever during hot summer
www.chinanews.cn 2005-07-08 15:39:16
Most locations in China have continuous high temperature in this summer.
However, hot weather does not hamper the "red tourist" fever. In Hunan,
an important province of "red tourism", the native places of Mao Zedong
and Liu Shaoqi receive flocks of tourists. Tens of thousands of tourists
visit Mao's hometown Xiangtan's Shaoshan and Liu's native place
Ningxiang's Tanzichong, reminiscing great men's refined manners. Photo:
Tourists buy tourist souvenirs at the counters in Shaoshan's Mao Zedong
Memorial Hall.
