A "new spring calligraphy fair" was held in Erdaoguan Village, Jiuduhe
Town of Beijing's Huairou District on Apr. 12, 2006. A total of 50-odd
people, including eight native calligraphers and some common villagers,
participated in the fair. They glorified the tremendous changes in new
rural areas and displayed the fruits of "rural ethos and civilization"
construction with calligraphic works.
