www.chinanews.cn 2006-03-15 16:03:37

The first world forum on Buddhism will be held in Zhejiang's Hangzhou
City and Zhoushan City from Apr. 13 to 16, which will attract around 800
Buddhism believers from around the globe. As the chief host venue, Mt.
Putuo in Zhoushan City is maintaining temples and renovating the
environment. It is learnt that the Buddhist group in China initiated this
forum so as to provide an equal, pluralistic, open and top-grade platform
for global Buddhists to communicate with each other.
