Jazreel Goh, Director of Education Marketing of the British Council,
revealed on Aug. 2 that owing to various factors, including GBP
appreciation, adjustment of visa application procedures, and forgery in
application documents, the market share of students studying in the UK
dropped from 21% to 17% in 2004, and the ratio of rejected applications
rose to 28%. (File photo)
