Thousand-year ancient path found in remote mountainous area

www.chinanews.cn 2005-08-02 17:02:35

Among the remote mountainous area and the forest in Qingyang Village in
the west of Taihu Reservoir in Daxi Town, Wenling, Zhejiang, there lies a
mysterious ancient path, a winding mountain path known as the national
highway of "Dong'ou Kingdom," a kingdom in the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD).

Accompanied by the brook in the mountain, the path winds its way across
the fields and mountains and goes directly to Wenzhou's Leqing. For
thousands of years, this ancient winding mountain path has brought about
integration of many nationalities and different types of culture, just as
the Silk Road and the Tea-Horse Road did.
