Farmers fight snow disaster

Farmers engaged in household-based contracted operations in the No. 182
corps in Xinjiang's Altay accelerated snow melting by way of spreading
earth manually on Mar. 26th. After the day of solar term Spring Equinox,
snow disaster-hit Altay was still a snow covered world. Local residents
manually scattered earth on the snow so that it would absorb more heat
from the sun and melt more quickly. They tried hard to fight and
alleviate the disaster so as to commence spring sowing as soon as
possible.
