12 classic Chinese memorial archways on display

The Beijing Pinggu District Jinhaihu Chinese Memorial Archways Exhibition
was held in the Jinhaihu Scenic and Historic Interest Resort on July 17,
2005. Full size replicas of 12 representative stone, brick and wood
memorial archways, including the college archway in front of the Nanjing
Confucius Temple, the benevolence archway in Zhejiang's Jinhua City, and
the filial piety archway in Anhui, were showed at the exhibition. At the
same time, 50 exhibition boards depicting particular memorial archways in
various regions were also put up.
