Qing textbook found in Shandong

Mrs. Ren Lirong of Yangzhuang Village, Dawang Town, Guangrao County,
Shandong Province, displayed on July 30th, 2005, an elementary mathematic
textbook during the reign of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty
(1616-1911). No character is found on the cover of the book. On the
inside cover are vertical characters showing it was printed on the 22nd
year (1896) of Emperor Guangxu's reign. In the middle printed four
characters meaning elementary mathematics. On the left bottom printed the
name of the publishing house -- Shanghai Xianji Publishing House and two
characters meaning stereotype.

The textbook contains contents from elementary addition and subtraction
to power and cube, followed by logarithm table.
