92-year-old gifted woman

The Renwen Society of China Institute in the United States sponsored a
seminar for achievements of Zhang Chonghe, known as the most gifted woman
of the century, in New York on Apr. 23. Zhang is highly accomplished in
poetry, calligraphy, painting and Kun Opera (China's oldest stage art
originated from Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province) and honored as a rare
treasure in the world of literature and art. At present, 92-year-old
Zhang Chonghe's works enjoy an international fame. In recent years, she
has held individual retrospect exhibitions in Beijing, Suzhou and the
United States for many times and each of such exhibitions made a
sensation. Pictured, at the seminar, Zhang Chonghe displayed a headgear
used in Kun Opera made by herself.
