Tibetan herdsmen migrated to new pasture
www.chinanews.cn 2005-07-25 15:34:48
As late July is the season of the highest temperature in Tibet, herdsmen
began to migrate with their yaks and sheep herds from where they live at
4,000 meters above sea level to the pasture at the foot of snow-covered
mountains where snow just started to melt and will come back in early
fall. Photo shows herdsmen in Jiangzi County located in the upper stream
of Brahmaputra River migrated to the pasture at the foot of the
snow-covered mountains at an altitude of 5,300 meters.
