Residents' committees undergoing direct election

Pictured is a banner about general election of a residents' committee in
Beijing. Residents' committees in Beijing's residential communities
started the general election in February, 2006. Voters will be registered
and the general election will be conducted in a direct way. More than
2,400 positions of head of residents' committees will be reelected.
