Olympics: Stars shine for the contenders

www.chinanews.cn 2005-07-05 11:04:46

July 5 - Paris, London, Madrid, New York City and Moscow are competing to
win the right to host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in an IOC vote which
will be held on July 6 in Singapore.
No past Olympic bidding campaign has seen anything to compare with a
contest which will pit the President Jacques Chirac of France against the
Prime Minister Tony Blair of Britain, or the American boxing great,
Muhammad Ali, against the England soccer captain, David Beckham.
