China built 20,000 "starlight" homes for the elderly

Pictured: Senior citizens live a happy life at the nursing home for the
elderly (a "starlight" home for the elderly) in a residential community
in Hubei's Yichang City (taken on March 27). According to the Ministry of
Civil Affairs, China's central and local finance have altogether invested
over 7 billion yuan (US$875 million) and built 20,000 "starlight" homes
for the elderly to date, providing the elderly with a batch of
multi-functional welfare service facilities and space.
