People living at Chanfang Township of Hebei's Shahe City in Taihang
mountainous region have the custom of spinning and weaving coarse cloth.
Their colorful textile products full of local features are not only used
by themselves but also sell like hot cakes in cities. The temperature in
this township rose after the Lantern Festival, and native female
villagers all left their houses to engage themselves in spinning and
weaving brocades. Some households even have all members participate,
creating a joyful and harmonious atmosphere.
