The Liuhe Pagoda (Six Harmonies Pagoda) located on Yuelun Mountain by the
Qiantang River in Hangzhou was built by the king of Wuyue State in the
Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127AD) to bring the tide of Qiantang River
under control. The pagoda has seven faces and eight stories at the height
of 59.89 meters. The China Ancient Pagoda Museum was built beside the
Liuhe Pagoda recently. Upon entry into the tower museum, one can see over
100 ancient pagodas in different dynasties and from different regions,
embodying the essence of China's pagoda culture.
